Lauren is a passionate and dedicated Limited License Social Worker who strives to support individuals and families on all levels through their unique challenges. She received her Master’s in Social Work at Western Michigan University with a double minor in Holistic health care & Gender and Women’s Studies.
Through her experience working with various communities, Lauren uses a holistic and intersectional approach to client issues, focusing on the whole person instead of breaking them into parts. Before working at Silver Linings Counseling, Lauren worked for two years as an elementary school social worker. She has experience working with children and adolescents on a variety of issues such as self-harm, anxiety, depression, and LGBT+ affirming care. Lauren brings a compassionate and client-centered approach to therapy, fostering a safe and inclusive environment for growth and healing. Lauren has gained valuable experience in diverse settings, including homeless shelters, alternative schools, and elementary schools.
Her expertise spans a range of areas, from emotional and psychological support to practical problemsolving and advocacy. Whether seeking support for mental health issues, navigating life transitions, or needing assistance with resource connections, Lauren offers guidance and support with empathy and professionalism.
