Her intention as a psychologist is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental atmosphere. She also helps clients understand how their thoughts, behaviors and actions are connected and manage your emotions by identifying triggers and finding coping strategies that fit your needs.
Alicia has passion and experience working with gender identity and sexuality identity. She provides an affirmative space to allow for exploration and acceptance for those struggling with their gender or sexuality. Alicia practices from a humanistic orientation while incorporating elements from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and affirmative therapy.
