Dustin Shepler, PhD, LP, HSP, CST

I aim to create a space where you feel heard and understood—so we can work together to build insight, develop new skills, and strengthen your relationship with yourself and others.

More About Me

Hello! I’m Dr. Dustin Shepler. I’m a licensed psychologist and AASECT-certified sex therapist. I completed my doctoral training at Ball State University, followed by an APA-accredited internship at the University of North Carolina – Charlotte. I later pursued post-doctoral training in sex therapy through the University of Michigan. I’m also recognized as a Health Service Psychologist by the National Register of Health Service Psychology and stay active in research and professional organizations.

I’ve worked in a range of clinical settings, including college counseling centers and residential treatment programs, and have been in private practice since 2011. My approach is rooted in evidence-based treatment, but just as important to me is building a genuine, supportive relationship with each client. I aim to create a space where you feel heard and understood—so we can work together to build insight, develop new skills, and strengthen your relationship with yourself and others. Therapy with me is collaborative, strengths-based, and always tailored to your unique needs and goals.

When I’m not at Silver Linings Counseling or supervising graduate students at the Michigan School of Psychology, I enjoy running, exploring local parks, traveling, and spending time with my partner.

Please note: I work with individuals age 14 and older.
