I’m Dr. Seongwon Lee, a doctoral educational limited licensed psychologist. I earned my doctorate from the Michigan School of Psychology and completed my APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Michigan State University’s Counseling and Psychiatric Services. I view therapy as walking alongside you on your journey, making meaning of your experiences and helping you reauthor your story in ways that open new chapters of healing and growth. My role is to create a safe, collaborative space where you can explore who you are, clarify what you want, and move toward change that reflects your values, strengths, and needs. I draw from an integrative approach that weaves together Interpersonal, Psychodynamic, Acceptance and Commitment, and Emotion-Focused Therapies.
I am especially passionate about supporting immigrants as they navigate bicultural identities, women experiencing major life transitions, and individuals for whom faith plays an important role in their stories. Walking with clients through the intersections of culture, identity, and values has been deeply meaningful. At the same time, I believe therapy can benefit anyone seeking greater self-understanding, authenticity, and growth. Whether you are facing cultural adjustments, family dynamics, faith questions, or more universal concerns such as stress, anxiety, or relationship issues, you are welcome here—and I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, discovering new books, and creating with my hands through embroidery, painting, and gardening.
