Hey there, I’m Alicia! I’m a psychologist who primarily works with adolescents, young adults, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. I completed my doctoral training at the Michigan School of Psychology and my APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Cleveland State University’s Counseling Center. I’m passionate about helping people better understand themselves, process their emotions, and navigate relationships and identity with confidence and self-acceptance.
My approach to therapy is grounded in creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and affirming. I believe the heart of effective therapy lies in a strong therapeutic relationship—one built on empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. Together, we’ll explore how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are connected, while working toward coping strategies that actually feel meaningful and useful to you.
I’m especially passionate about supporting individuals exploring gender identity and sexual orientation. I provide affirming care that honors each client’s lived experience, and I offer support through gender-affirming procedures—including documentation for hormone therapy and letters for gender-affirming surgeries. Whether you’re questioning, exploring, or transitioning, I aim to provide a validating space where you feel empowered and respected.
My therapeutic orientation blends a humanistic framework with evidence-based tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and affirmative therapy approaches.
When I’m not in the therapy room, I’m a proud mama of two children and two furbabies. Outside of mom life, I love letting loose at alternative rock concerts, diving into true crime documentaries, and unwinding with a good crafting project.
