Position Overview
SLC is seeking someone with expertise in conducting psychological and/or neuropsychological assessments for children and/or adults.
The ideal candidate will have experience using testing to support differential diagnosis of concerns such as ADHD, autism, learning disorders, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and related conditions.
This is an excellent opportunity for psychologists who are passionate about assessment and may also be interested in providing individual psychotherapy alongside testing services, however not necessary.
What You'll Do
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and/or neuropsychological evaluations for clients across the lifespan, with an emphasis on children and/or adults
- Utilize assessment tools to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Prepare clear, thorough, and timely evaluation reports
- Communicate assessment results effectively to clients, families, and referral sources
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and adhere to ethical and HIPAA standards
- Collaborate with other SLC clinicians and external providers as needed
- Optional: Provide individual psychotherapy for clients within your scope of expertise
Who We're Looking for
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology
- Fully licensed as an LP in the state of Michigan
- Demonstrated experience conducting psychological/neuropsychological assessments
- Strong skills in differential diagnosis and test interpretation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills
- Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team
- Commitment to providing ethical, high-quality care
- Willingness to provide in-person services (telehealth not available for testing services)
- Must carry individual malpractice insurance
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position
