Who We Are
									We are a thriving, well-established private practice located in Sterling Heights, MI. Known for our inclusive care and strong community relationships, we’re currently seeking a therapist who is passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community—particularly those navigating gender identity, transition-related care, and letter-writing for gender-affirming surgeries.
								
				What You'll Do
- Provide affirming individual therapy to LGBTQ+ clients, including those navigating gender identity and transition
 - Write letters of support for gender-affirming surgeries in line with current best practices
 - Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
 - Create and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
 - Collaborate with outside providers (e.g., psychiatrists, primary care physicians) when appropriate
 - Participate in team meetings and case consultations
 - Adhere to all HIPAA, licensure, and ethical guidelines
 - Commit to at least 15 direct client hours per week, including three evenings per week (until at least 6pm) or weekend availability
 
Who We're Looking for
- Licensed in Michigan as an LPC, LMSW, LLP, or LP
 - We also welcome limited-license applicants (LLPC, LLMSW, TLLP)—supervision is included
 - Experienced in working with LGBTQ+ clients, particularly transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals
 - Skilled in writing affirming letters for gender-affirming medical procedures and surgeries
 - Passionate about providing ethical, inclusive, and trauma-informed care
 - Available for in-person services at our Sterling Heights location
 - Organized, timely with documentation, and open to following SLC procedures
 - Knowledgeable about HIPAA and professional ethical standards
 - Willing to learn and follow SLC policies and procedures
 - Available to provide in-person services
 - This is a 1099 independent contractor position
 - Bonus if you’re also comfortable seeing teens, couples, or hold specialized certifications (EMDR, DBT, etc.)
