Hi, I’m Carmen and I earned my MSW from Michigan State University. I believe healing begins in a space of safety, compassion, and connection. As a therapist, I strive to create that space with every client—one rooted in education, understanding, and acceptance. My approach is centered on helping you build autonomy and regain a sense of control, especially when life feels overwhelming.
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and trauma. With each of these, I focus on understanding the whole person and how their experiences shape their inner world. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a research-supported approach to trauma treatment. Whether we’re addressing past wounds or daily challenges, my goal is to help you grow in self-trust, learn new ways of coping, and move toward a greater sense of ease in your life.
I know that reaching out takes courage. You deserve a therapeutic space where your story is honored and where growth feels both possible and empowering.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my pets (I have several across different species), soaking up the sun, reading, and tending to my plants. One of my favorite ways to connect with my culture is through cooking traditional Mexican dishes, especially when sharing them with others.
