Hey, I’m Mica (pronounced Mee-ka)! I’m a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in both clinical and macro social work. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Eastern Michigan University and my Master’s in Social Work from Wayne State University.
Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings—including medical social work, psychiatric treatment, and the Department of Human Services—which has shaped my flexible, real-world approach to therapy. I’ve found my passion in private practice, where I primarily support adults navigating anxiety, depression, chronic health challenges, and relationship issues.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, down to earth, and infused with a healthy dose of humor. I believe healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time—and that laughter can be part of the process. I use a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), always grounded in a strength-based perspective. I also enjoy incorporating mindfulness and holistic tools to support clients from all angles.
In addition to my clinical work, I’m certified as a CORE supervisor through NASW and serve as the Continuing Education Coordinator for the practice—continuing to learn, grow, and support others in the field.
Outside the office, you’ll find me traveling, hiking, practicing yoga, hanging with my dogs (and training them!), or roasting my own coffee beans from scratch.
